Hey all
I need to run a power wire though my firewall into the car. I have a 1996 Grand Prix SE Coupe.
Has anybody done this before and can point out where I can run it through?
Thanks in advance.

i drilled mine and made my own rubber grommet i got to frustrated with trying to find a spot
there should be a rubber plug located under the brake master cylinder. You can either punch/cut a hole thru this plug or replace it with a grommet of the proper size. Probably the easiest to use for your car.

guys you realize its the 5th gen gp not the 6/7 not sure if the firewall is the same but should be one for the ecm and wires for the internal fuse box(assuming it has one)

Look for a rubber boot and go.

Most Auto-Trans equipped 1st Generation W-Bodies have a large hole cut through the firewall between the driver's side strut tower and the brake master cylinder. The hole is plugged with a rubber grommet which can be easily drilled out to allow you to pass your amp wires through.
The reason for the giant hole in the firewall? Simple. It's where the clutch master cylinder is mounted on the W-Bodies that received Manual Transmissions.
