Passanger side firewall, low down. It goes under the passanger's feet under the carpet.

I was about to ask the same question about the power wire. I have a 2000 GT. Is that grommet in the same place? I couldn't see it...perhaps I didn't pull the carpet back far enough.

    Lemme know....thanks.

I used a stepper bit, and then custom made a grommet that fit around the
wire and slid into the drilled hole. No problems...

Oh and it is located on drivers side down low... Make sure you dont drill into the subframe. Drill further to the left than you think and you will be ok.

that's what i did. it's like a 2 piece grommet. the innermost will pop out and then it just takes a screwdriver like everyone else said. it'll pop right through. that's how i did it.

You would think these car manufacturers would think of making an accesories hole in the firewall for all the electronic gizmos these days. ARE YOU LISTENING GM

the problem is they don't want you adding any electronic gizmo, they want you to buy their top of the line junk, never aftermarket

So if I am doing this right, I am having my wire actually running underneath the car for quite a bit am I right? I live in MN, and there is the dreaded salt and chloride on the roads, and I am little worried about my wire rotting away. Any suggestions other then running it through the pass door?
