What tickets have you gotten out of?

Got pulled over Sunday morning. Was somewhat "honest" with the cop and told him I was doing 50 in a 30. I was really going about 65 at the time but I know he didn't clock me because of my radar detector. Could easily tell I was going way over though. Got away with a written warning because it was my first ever violation and because I was honest with him. Had just cleaned my throttle body the day before (TONS of carbon buildup) and wanted to see how much a difference it made when accelerating quick.

I've gotten 4 tickets total. All when I was 18 or younger. 2 speeding tickets, 1 failure to control, and 1 seatbelt.


Got out of a 70 in a 55 with just a seat belt ticket (had shoulder strap behind me).

Got out of a 36 in a 25 with a warning. (was honest with the cop and admitted fault)

Got out of running from a police officer in my old 98 Formula. (Another cop covered for me and said I'd been with him the whole time cause he hated our town chief of police)

Also got out of drag racing a cop. (Friends dad who was a cop wanted to see if his cruiser was faster than my cammed Formula 373rwhp. Needless to say by the time I hit 100 I probably could have damn near came to a stop by the time he'd have cought up)

I got a ticked for tinted windows 250 dollars and my aftermarket LED tail lights 30 bucks a total of 280 dollars. I was pulled over in a parking lot not even moving I dont get it lol i wasnt even on a main road.

-got out of a 80 in a 65 when i was 17 because it was my first offense
-got a tint ticket instead of a 70 in a 55 speeding ticket when i was 18
-got let go for a tint ticket and expired tags beacause when the cop asked "do you know the ohio tint laws?" i rattled of every law there is about tints and the cop was like "as long as you know the consequences i dont care if you have them, just watch out for state troopers!"

Ive been pulled over quite a few times but only one is worth sharing in this thread.

A lil more than a year ago I had been driving fast down this semi-curvy road because I had just gotten new tires and the GMPP suspension. It was about 2:30 in the morning and after the last curve I decided to open it up a bit on the straight-away. I busted triple digits and then threw it in neutral to let it coast to the stop light about a mile ahead. Coming over a hill at about 75-80 (in a 45 now, just dropped from 60) I see a cop driving in the opposite direction. Dispite the flat grassy median he quickly spins around the ol' vic to chase me down. I pull over, shakin in my boots that Georgia's finest will send my license to the shredder. His first question is "do you know how fast you were going?" I said "yeah, about 80" and he said "actually I clocked you at 74. where the hell you tryin to get boy?" I said "honestly, I just wanted to try out the new tires and somehow wound up out here and cant find campus." He said "campus is 5 miles back that way" Just as he points, a ricer accord flew by the cop narrowly missing his ass. He asked me to sit tight, threw my license at me, hopped in the cruiser and took off after the accord. About 10mins later another cop pulls up and asks why I'm on the side of the road, I told him because the other cop asked me to sit tight and he said "you're a lucky kid, get the hell outta here" went home, and never went fast on that road again....

i've gotten 2 impeding traffic for speeding which i shoulda gotten 10 over for both, a 5 over ticket so i didnt get outta anything there, another 5 over ticket on the highway which shoulda been 10 over but the cop did it so i wouldnt get points, a warning for my tint on my grand prix and a citation for my tint on my cobalt. lol

i got out of a 70 in a 35 by the same cop who caught me tray sliding in a parking lot when i first got my car. I was also was and hour past my local curfew... idk how i did it but i was just respectful and honest.

I got a 65 in a 30 when i was sixteen, and got a nice ticket for that one...not fun
Then i got pulled over doing 50 in a 30, really i was doing 60, but as soon as i saw the cop i pulled over, before he had a chance to put on his lights, and he wrote it down to the 75 dollar ticket.

97 in a 55. ON the brakes. Not really sure about getting out of it as I paid like $1,200 to keep the points off and such...but I stayed out of jail. So that is getting out of it for me.

I've had three instances where I was probably going a little too fast (nothing outrageous though). But as I see the cops hit the brakes and get ready to spin around I make a turn and book it in various directions. As usual it's more State Police than County Sheriff.

I got out of a 65 in a 45 with no seat belt.

63 in a 55 count? lol

I got pulled over for : 72 in a 45, illegal tint, no seatbelt, all at the same time and all the cop made me do was take the tinted license plate cover off my car.

speeding, illegal lane change, wreckless driving, exhibition of speed, failure to use a directional and --- umm, I forget the sixth item. all dismissed as a $496 parking ticket. this all because of a dumb-ass doing 35 in the left lane in a 55 zone.

about 2 months ago went by a parked NHP trooper at 125ish. rather than discuss my behavior I nailed it and jumped off a couple of exits down. I was sitting on an overpass watching him tear down the hiway looking for me.

about 6 or 7 months ago came upon another dumb-ass going just below the speed limit in the left lane and when I started to crowd him red and blues came on in the back window. He starts to point over to to the side of the road -- or maybe it was that exit I shot off onto? I couldn't tell, and he couldn't do it so I got away with that as well.

ah, the memories.

Got out of 3x tinted tail light tickets so far.. One cop said he wasn't going to waste his time writing the ticket because he knows I won't fix it.

haha thats priceless. never heard of that happening before. always wished it would happen to me though.

I have gotten out of 2 speeding tickets (both 10 over), tinted taillights and 30 day tags being 6 days over do. And I still have 6 points on my license.

I've been pulled over twice, once in my grents Jeep, once in the minivan. I was doing 42 in a 35 in the Jeep and I was doing 55 in a 40 in the minivan. I got let off both times, not sure why but I did. In the Jeep I was in my work uniform, maybe that helped. In the minivan (maybe it was a minivan! that helped lol), I was coming down a hill off the interstate so I think it played in my favor.

the best ticket i ever got away with was when i was in high school, i had 77 gmc pick up with a 4 speed in it headers a 2 foot pipe off each header and and some kind of sh1t mufflers on it and had no tail pipes, so it was REAL LOUD.

so im in a gas station on a corner i never saw the cop at the corner behind me, as i pulled out to the street i revved it up and dumped the clutch, and roasted 2 gears, saw the lights right after the wheels stopped spinning and pulled over, i see the cop ( who just pulled me over last week, ive know this cop since mini bikes and go carts days) i have my paper work ready to give to him, i get the dont tell me the butterfly's stuck open in the carb, or your foot slipped off the clutch, THIS TIME YOU WERE OUTRIGHT FVCKING AROUND!!!!, me having nothing to say just nodded, and agreed, i hand him the p/w and he hands it right back, says i just saw it last week now we need to just sit here for a bit so this looks good, tells me next time its a ticket!

this wasn't a quick little burn out either there was smoke everywhere and 2 of the longest black strips i ever left with this truck at least 50 footers lol

Only thing I've gotten out of were light tickets, and one no proof of insurance.

Couldn't get out of leaving a toll booth too fast with the best behavior...got a ****ing exhibition ticket.
