FYI 8000k isnt the brightness, its the temperature. 4300k is pure white light and as you go higher, you go bluer, and therefor lose usable light.

Ahhh makes more sense so 4300k is pure white huh, so why people say 6k is pure white? Anyone got a pic of there GP with 4300k hid, also i though 4300k was like yellow or yellowish? we like the blue in it but now im thinking of the brightest to use on the road to see better and to be seen with these bright ass lights.

Not the best picture, but gives you an idea.

These are 4300K in my 99 with stock style headlights.
I am very happy with them.
Only trace of blue is when first turning them on until they get warmed up.

    4300 is the whitest white.
I believe 3k is yellow or closest to 'stock'

Nice, its a 99 huh, my guess they would be much brighter on my 07 because of the bigger headlight. Do you know how do they look next to 6k or 8k hids, and are better too?

Well if they car pure crystal clear white then it has my attention, you got a pic of how they look on the headlight it self by any chance?

I don't know comparisions with the other colors, I've only ever had the 4300k (going on 2nd week now).

I wouldn't think they'd look any brighter, the pattern would be the only difference I believe.

I can take some pictures of the capsules tomorrow if that's what your wanting?

The cars that come with HID from the factory all have 4300k if that tells you anything. People think those cars have a blue tint but its the way they come through the projector that gives them that apperance, but they are in fact pure white.

    Factory HID's in this:

    are bluish in colour temp.

    ZOMG

    And those are reflectors.

Tried diode dynamics 4300K kit in my vehicle, slightly more blue that aforementioned vehicle.

Most likely yes, but the 8k appear to be brighter some how. you suggest i try to buy a 4300k? If anyone has a pick of the two together i may just get teh 4300k IF they are indeed the brightest

    You're using a picture.

You can change the apparent colour temp by changing the colour temp correction built into the camera.

Sure this might show a relative change, but still if not set correctly its still guessing.

Best thing is to find locals and compare.

I get flashed a lot lol. And when I flash back the fogs stay on with the high beams and low beams lol. High beams don't make much of a difference.
