Transmission Replacement.......

Ok so I just found out that I need A transmission for my 2008 Grand Prix GXP 5.3..... Have anyone replaced theirs and how much do it cost??? And where sould I go to have it replaced besides the DEALER??? HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry Bro, I just hit my 100,00 mark. I talk 2 a guy at a local junk yard n he said that he has a Trans for my car that came out of a 2008 LS-4 with 12K and he wants $800 for it. What do you guys think?

Seems fair I'm not sure what these go for but it's a newer moddle

That's not bad at all. It's easy to change, just rent or borrow an engine hoist and drop that mother out. Good time to change any front suspension components as well.

Do you get to visually verify the donor car and the mileage that this transmission is coming out of? Seeing is believing....and if I were you I would not be believing the mileage until I've seen the donor car with the trans in it. If it can't be verified, you'd be better off spending your money having your own transmission rebuilt with durable parts at a reputable shop. At least then you would know exactly what you have.

I wouldnt touch a trans out of an LS4 car.

Don't care how many "miles" are on it.
