Default Traded 04 grand prix for 06 grand prix GXP with 42000 miles

Monday I traded my old grand prix i was always working on for a grand prix GXP with all the fully loaded features and only 42108 miles. I think that it is a super upgrade from my old one in power, engine size, and all around niceness.
This is definitely a keeper for awhile.

I would like to add a better intake to it and change the spark plugs with new ones but not quite forsure what to use or where to shop?

I'd go with factory spark plugs...as far as intake I have no idea.

at 42,000 miles you not ready for a tune up yet. they last almost 100,000 from the factory.

    defiantly a nice looking car.

on another note the trans is just ready for a pan drop and filter change, and keep up with your oil changes and you all set.

yea i checked the spark plugs and the gap was right where it was supposed to be. And yes I already love the dang car. The dealer ship put brand new brakes and tires onto it the day i bought it and changed the oil. And after my old grand prix i know exactly how to change the trans filter so that will definitely be no problem at all to do.

I'd do a Shift kit ASAP, that would be my first mod on that car.

You could just make your own intake, like most of use have. Either that the K&N setup, honestly all they really do is give a throaty sound or help you hear the whine of the supercharger, there is no performance gain to had from it, maybe 5hp at the most.

Spark plugs are going to be up to you, we had a GXP in the shop yesturday with 68,000 miles, needed all new plugs, lots of build up and many misfires. We suspect the DOD causing the plugs to fail, oil was 1.5 quarts low aswell.

Ac delco's are iridiums, tell the person at the counter of whatever store you go to, that you want the stock plugs for the car, and he/she will hand you AC Delco plugs.
