Default Track times for the Comp G

today i went to tri-state raceway in eastern iowa, wasnt unhappy with my runs but know i can do better,
    ran a 14.3 @ 97 with half a second reaction time and 2.4 second 60 foot time,
Also i met up with Hunter or Fisher580 on here with his 01 gtp, he has headers, ported gen 3, 3.4 pulley as well as a box tune, we got one good run together down the track where he came in at a 14.379 at 94.99mph and i came in at 14.489 @97.05mph, i think my i need to work on my reaction time as well as getting my 60s times under 2 seconds, also while i was waiting in line i noticed my car developed a inconsistent idle which i think might be a minor but random misfire this as well as i think im getting some kr and i need to meet up with my tuner again to get it scanned/adjusted
i really think my car is capable of mid 13s, should be able to get a video and a few pics up here soon

Reaction time has nothing to do with getting a better time. The clock isn't triggered until the car physically moves so you could have sat there for five minutes and would have ran the same time. The 60ft on the hand.....

every .1 off the 60' is worth .15 -.20 off the ET.

Had you nailed a 2.2 60' you would be down to a 13.9-14.0 ET.

A car that runs a 15 flat with a 2.4 60 is capable of low 14's. Your car is capable of 13s for sure.

Not really, a sloppy start would be right on cue for a 14.1 on a GTO. The 04 was the first of the new GTOs and only year for the 5.7L LS1 and the body was substantially heavier than the older Camaros which would only trap mid 13s so figure stock drivetrain and a sloppy start and/or bad weather conditions and a 14.1 would be about right. Needs a driver mod and some bolt-ons.

You need less pulley and more custom WB tuning.

    And the launching mod.

And if you pulley up you may want to change your style plug heat range along with a tune. Your 60ft is what really skunked ya.

You should really be scanning before you need another new motor.
