Tools suggestion needed

I'm considering getting some air tools, but I really don't work on the cars too often. Maybe once every couple months at most. I guess what I'm really wanting most though is an impact to help with the axles and such. As nice to have as they would be, I don't think I really *need* ratchets. So how much would a small air setup cost with a decent impact vs an electric impact? How big of a tank would be needed to not have it be a frustration because it's too small? I just don't want to go to a local store and by the first thing and end up with cheap crap.

My air compressor is to small it's a 15 gallon and can't keep up with any of my air tools. I have a die grinder, impact, and ratchet. I have a 28v Milwaukee impact that is amazing. Best tool i've ever bought. I travel to work on peoples car every now and again so it's great to not have to find a power source.

I found someone near me selling a milwaukee m18 that he says was used only a couple times with two batteries and charger with case for $150. Does that sound like a decent deal? The m18 is rated at I think 450ft/lbs. Would that be up to the task for most anything on the car?

Doesn't sound to bad it won't get the big stuff done but mine won't either so...........Is it a 3/8th drive?

Name brand makes all the difference. I have a porter cable twin cylinder compresor that works great and you can add air by adding another hose, it fits in the back seat of a car and will even run my framing nailer, as important is a decent ratchet with good sockets, I have a set of 188 pc craftsman from, well along time ago, and watch pawn shops for matco and snap-on at some great prices but you have to do your home work.

On a compressor. I'd suggest an oil model. That way it's quieter. Personally you need 120-150psi to run tools well and don't expect that a 20 gallon is going to keep up and that you'll never wait on it. I wait on my 30 gallon at times. But only on super stubborn stuff.

Funny little thing here. Check out the ingersol guns. There's one that is metal bodied, I want to say it's like a 213 or something like that. About 600ft lbs of torque in reverse, 500 forward. Knowing the shape etc of this gun, I got one branded by Stanley new in box at Walmart for $82 out the door in a pinch. I still use that gun and love it. Had it since 2005 and it rips HB bolts off typically.
