    Because it's a 3800?

It could be a plethora of other things too with a P0300. Vac leak (Lines/tubing). Injector. LIM gaskets. EGR tube(s). Coil pack(s). Plugs/wires. ICM.

Well I have a spare icm, and coil packs, I can swap in. Ill probably just spend the 40$ and buy new plug wires since that's what fixed the problem last time. Maybe the wires were just defective. Is there anything that could be causing weak ignition spark other then the coil packs, icm, wires, plugs. Like could a bad cps cause weak spark on only certain cylinders? Also is there anyway I could have a lim leak that wouldn't cause any oil or coolant mixing or loss just a vac leak? Vaccum sits around -20 with trans not engaged and I think around -18ish with trans engaged. Ill double check tonight those #s are probably with the a/c on

I really appreciate everyone's thoughts and help on this because I'm stumped and have already changed so many things from last time this happened. I should add that this has only happened two times but I have been driving and the car has stalled and would not restart, then after maybe 5 minutes it would restart no problem which is why I was wondering about maybe a partially failing cps sensor.

Well that's what I'm wondering if anyone has had a sensor failure like this before where it didn't just go completely dead. My fuel trims seem to be getting leaner and leaner to for some reason so it looks like ill probably be checking the pump yet again just to make sure its not a fuel issue. I'm fairly positive its ignition related though. Because it would make sense if I had a weak ignition or something but then new plug wires fixed it. The original problem probably wasn't the plug wires the new wires just required less spark which is why it seemed to fix it. Now that the new wires are broken in my ignition spark is weak again.

ever do a crank learn? you got a dhp, its easy to do. takes a minute to do, or less.

crank sensor talks to the cam and icm, if it dont talk the car dies. also got the harness to it that goes bad.

Ya I've done several crank relearns since I've been swapping pcms in and out making sure that wasn't the issue. In gonna check all the wiring tonight. Do you know where the grounds are for the ignition or is it just that one ground on the tensioner bolt?

just the one on the coil bracket, and the rest on the tranny stud with the neg battery cable. you might have one off the battery cable to the fender near the battery.

Well looks like ill be checking ground wires tonight. I know there's a write up somewhere on how to "ohm" check the ignition harness ill try to find that too.

Ok ill look into it. I should probably take the plugs out and look at the spark colour to although if the problem only happens under load it might look fine at idle. But its the exact symptoms of spark blowout except my whole ignition system is new and when I put new plugs in I gapped them at .4 so I doubt its that especially on a 2.8 and only 10.5# boost.

Well I fixed the issue last night. I don't know what exactly it was because I did a lot last night but I swapped out all the coil packs as well as the icm although I really don't think this was the problem since the first time this happened swapping both of them out didn't do anything. I also cleaned the ground wire right off the icm wiring harness as well as the 2 factory crimped wires that are in the harness although all these wires didn't show any signs of failure either. I added a couple washers underneath the top of the icm plate so my supercharger belt wouldn't have a slight rub anymore, and finally I cleaned the ground coming right off the negative battery and its was caked in oil or some kind of grease although I don't think that ground is related to the ignition and even if it was I would think I would have other symptoms if that was the problem. So.. I have no idea how its fixed but it is at least for now.

Ya we shall see. Question the ground wire for the icm that's supposed to be grounded out on the bottom bolt of the coil pack bracket smooshed in between the two nuts right?

i think i just got a bolt there for mine. dont really matter, as long as it tight one way or another.

Ya Idk that's the only thing I can think of cause that just seems like a weak ground spot. I remember reading a thread where people were adding an extra wire going from it straight to the - on the battery which I might do if I have anymore trouble with it. Ill take my icm into oreillys and have them test it just to see if it was in fact bad even though I doubt it
