your better off burning through used blocks, be cheaper in the long run really. and less risk of a over 3 grand build lasting only 200 miles.

id focus on the funds for the over 3k tranny you'll need.

I found some diamond rods and pistons so picking those up off a buddy machine shop work doesn't matter as I get it done cheap from a buddy who builds racing engines car will have forged pistons l32 rods and be balanced and heads will be cut for bigger valves and ported more as for transmission I will be building one up at home so still in search of a 2.8 pulley and 1.7 rockers and and arp head main or rod bolts

free shop work is nice, but even a good shop can f this engine up. if they have done 3800's before go for it, if not, its a coin toss. its not a 350 where you flip it over and slap in all new bearings and it loves the new life.

not free but cheap prob be about 500 bucks plus parts for him to do my head work and assemble and balance the short block and ya i do trust him he did my current engine when i tore it down and its been running track only for 3 years now the car btw isn't a daily driver it is fully stripped and is a track only car it even gets hauled there on a trailer i know there are better platforms to mod and race but i love this car because its different i get so many compliments on my car at the track always draws a crowd and its awsome to beat coyote mustangs at the track there some hellcats that run there to so i need to up my power so i can take those out they run low 11s high 10s

you can't really cut our heads for bigger valves. Are valves are already nearly touching and the valves are shrouded enough as-is. The seat hardening is only about .001-003 deep so any seat cutting will lead to serious vsr.

you can pull them and you can back cut the valves and trim a radius on the margin for better flow but the most you can do is unshroud them by scribing and grinding the chamber to match the block 4 best airflow. you can even relieve the top of the cylinder bore at the Mouse ears of the HG fire ring....

Also...**** fractured cap near net weight powdered metal "forged" rods....and l32 in particular. the last thing I want in my engine is a connecting rod that's designed to be brittle
