The bumper itself costs over 500... Lol

On another note I adjusted the trans tune again, raised pressure and stuffs with shift points and things.

Missed this all somehow, lol. OEM bumpers are pricey as hell. Glad it's getting fixed, and fixed right

LOL yeah, I was looking at getting a new front and rear from a JY that was in better shape than mine, but now I only have to worry about the front bumper.

I've still got a ways to go with everything, but progress is happening. Slowly. lol

you should have pulled the hub plug or the abs fuse, tc stuck on in snow is about the worst thing ever.

I considered the same thing, but I ended up having my rear one fixed and scored a new OEM front bumper for $175 only original parts on my front end are the fenders, everything else was OEM+'d (oh, and the hood was added too). Lmao

I'll probably have to wait until I'm back down in the lower 48 before I can get alot of the stuff I've been looking for, but I should be able to get most of what I need while I'm up here...

My main focus right now is the trans, and upgrading the suspension is a close second. Boost can wait, however painful it is to say that. Lol

Well the Auto Skills Center on-post didn't have the inner tie-rod tool like they had claimed when I called, so that was an epic fail. But I did learn that I should just replace the entire rack, because mine has started leaking right at that silver cap/nut thing on the driver's side since being up here, and the fluid coming out isn't red anymore...

Looks like I'm gonna be doing a flush and dropping a magnasteer rack in once I get back from the two straight months of training down in Cali coming up. Yay me! lol

Car has been at the collison shop for 4 days now, it's getting sprayed on Monday, and everything's getting installed once the paint dries. The tiny dent got fixed, the new OEM bumper looks sexy, and I won't have plastic rattling around in my fenderwell.

And I fixed the subie that was hard to start and overheating, the guy who sold it to them was a college student. He installed the thermostat upside down, on top of losing one of the bolts to the thermostat housing and using a incorrectly sized bolt in its place. Oh, and the PCV valve is full of snot... And the coolant manifold, if I'm calling it the right thing, is leaking a little onto the crankcase. Outside of those issues, it needs a full tune up and it'll be running like a champ. Easiest 200 bucks I've ever made. Lol

Tried that, then pulled out the offending bulb to look closer... Filament was gone. Lol

But the car should be ready by tomorrow afternoon, then I'll get to take all sorts of pictures of sexy fresh paint... At least until it moves out onto the road. Lol

She's seeing temps of -50F lately, and the wife's starting it every day and letting it warm up to 165F, because it don't get no warmer than that.

I consider myself lucky to have such a (willing to walk outside when it's ungodly cold just to start my car, even though she doesn't like the car) awesome wife.

stop starting it up, your not doing it any favors. all your doing is building up condensation inside the engine. just leave it plugged in like you do, it will fire right up when you get home.
