    Question tcs and trans slip???

Hey guys got a little bit of a brain tugger... i was raceing my car at a local 1/8mile track and i do a burn out with the tcs off and would rev fine and have a solid feel then off the line it would feel like it was slipping and then would do a "grab/pop-in" feeling and would shift hella early. Figured it was just a fluke but it did it like 3 more times.. so i decided i would run with tcs on for a burn out tcs off then tcs on for the run and well the "low trac" did NOT light up so system didn't activate with the tire spin but shifting times and feel was back to normal and i gained a .5sec over with tcs off... any ideas? i am stumped on what would be causeing the sloppy shifting and grab with the tcs off.... i would think it would be the otherway around...

tcs on it ran a faster time on the track... tcs off i ran a slower time and had earlier/softer shifting...
