    Question sticky take off

    sometimes when i stop at a complete stop and then take off it will jump or kinda slipping feeling,i have to let off the gas then go again and then its good,it my od going out or tranny or what

    do your rpm's jump up when this happens. doesn't sound good tho.....

    it stays normal but only a couple times the rpms get high before it will change gears

    Ain't overdrive...that don't happen til at least 40mphish.

    I'm thinking sticky caliper.


    If Dave feels 60% throttle is 100%, what does he tell his wife.

    aim the car downhill and let off the brakes. don't press the throttle. does it roll on it's own?

    For the trans you can check the fluid see if it's burnt or has a silver color to it. might not show on the dipstick.

    dipstick i believe is near the firewall on that car. should be a red handle?

    bill's method is the best way to check for sticky caliper.

    another thought might be worn out dogbones. you can check this by having someone in the car and put the car in gear. if you engine shifts excessively this could be the issue too.
