Jenny, The '99 Silvermist GTP. With the mod's that matter.
I would rather lose by a mile because I built my own car, than lose by an inch, because someone else built it for me. Your car is your story, so don't let someone else write the book.

Very nice Cam!
And smile it's Blacktooth Grin!
My mudflaps are just rubber, no plastic and mine lay flat.
They used to say grand prix on them but the silver paint wore off over time. They came on the car when I bought it.
And mine only stays nice for like 2-3 days before the dust from the construction company thats by my house gets it all dirty.

Lucky... mine is already dusty before I even start waxing it. Rural Kansas ftw... let alone harvest time!

Alright, so its about that time of year again around these parts for deer hunting. So today I drove up north to the family cabin and then out our private land we hunt on to clean the trails and deer stands out. So on this trip I was trying to go for fuel economy and see what this pig can do.
So let me break it down for you.
Car has no Cat or EGR, temp was 50-55º all day. I tried to keep my speeds at 65-70 MPH on the freeway and 55-60 on the back roads, but that with traffic its just not possible. Its 62 miles freeway and 31 miles county roads to the cabin.
203 miles round trip
DIC said 31 going up, then leveled out at 29.5 after I got home with the rural roads and dirt roads with lower speed limits up there.
DIC said 6.8 gallons used, which = 29.85ish. I'm about 90% sure on that number, I might be off by .1 - .2, I think.
I used my aeroforce aswell to do more mpg data, Aero said I averaged 31 MPG on the whole trip.
When I did the calculations by hand after I fueled up again, I was again right at 30. Also each gas pump is different too, so these numbers cant always be 100%, but are pretty dam close. So with what my DIC and Aero said and what I got, 30 mpg was pretty dam good. With a warmer temp and maybe less wind I bet I could get more and maybe less hills too lol.
I might work with my tune some more and see if I can't get another mpg outta it.
I also snapped a few pictures from the parking lot at the land.

offroading!
97 gtp- 3.5 pulley, sd headers, autolite 104's, dhp pcm, hai, 180 t-stat
haha, i took my car offroading for a little, down rockroads next to railroad tracks, bumpy dirtroads, and at one point a field, chasing my friends 97 z34. glad i wasnt lowered, otherwise i woulda been grinding everywhere. dirt hides well on a gold car( except the wheels and windows)his car on the otherhand looked like complete **** haha.
Yeah, offroading......
That wasnt so smart today, about 85-90% of the leaves are down and I went down the logging road to shoot out on the point of the meadow and the about half way down I notice some faint smoke/dust coming out the back of the car. I open the door and look under it and my headers downpipe is catching all the leaves and keeping them up under the car. I upped my speed and got to end quickly and got under the car and started to grab hand fulls of leaves before they started on fire....... that was fun.
Otherwise it was just dirt roads and the car is dusty as hell.
