No way to know until you get it scanned. Take it to autozone and have them check the codes.

A guess... could be either. Lol, you're asking me to pick a possibility out of several hundred. Just get it checked.

Could be something simple like your gas cap isn't tight, or maybe an O2 sensor. Those are common codes.

My guess is a 02 sensor code. What are our prizes if we win?

If you want it off quickly and easily, yes. It will go away on it's own as long as the issue has been corrected. Otherwise you could pull the PCM fuse for about 30 minutes.

Not specifically for that but having a vac leak could cause it to run lean which would set a code.

I would still get it scanned just to make sure that was the only problem, then you can have them clear the code if it was. Take it to autozone they do it for free.

A leak in the boost lines? You mean vacuum lines. Sure it's possible.

My guess on the code is: P009 Lazy owner won't pull a code, probably will blow the motor before he gets it checked out.

Your car suggested you take a look at it. If something serious is wrong, wouldn't you want to get that checked before it say catches fire, blows up or causes your lazy butt some bodily injury? Sorry for the sarcasm, but "guess that engine light" doesn't sit well with me when parts stores scan for free.

    Probably a missfire code.

I say this because if you got wheel hop, the computer sensed it and threw a code becuase the engine and wheels were not spinning in sync.

Likewise, if you to hit a pothole, the wheel spins for a nano second and can also cause a missfire code.

I'm missing something on that one. How does wheel spin = a misfire?

I have heard of it before.

The PCM uses the rough road information to enable or disable the misfire diagnostic. The misfire diagnostic can be greatly affected by crankshaft speed variations caused by driving on rough road surfaces.
I believe it has something to do with the vehcile speed sensors as well. If one wheel suddenly spins faster while the other three are moving at another speed, the PCM says hey, something is wrong here.

I suppose it was like when I had my Vette on the dyno and only the two rear wheels were moving, it set codes.
