    Default Seller's Remorse

Well, a week from today and it'll be a year since i bought my first toy. a 1991 chevy s-10, 350 smallblock from a 74 camaro, turbo 350 trans, 10 bolt limited slip diff, B&M shift kit, edelbrock performer rpm intake and edelbrock 600cfm carb... thing was a blast. if it didn't help the truck go forward, it was gone. all that was left was an aftermarket tach, aftermartket oil pressure gauge, coolant temp gauge, headlights, and windshield wipers. didn't even have heat. it was a base model truck, bench seat, standard cab, 6 foot bed. heddman headers to flowmaster duper 40's, dumped before the rear axle. it was LOUD. took it and it's carbuerated greatness on a 160 mile highway trip, turning 2800 rpms to 12mpg the whole way. ran it out of gas too lol. there's still a thread about it on here somewhere.

the bad - it leaked oil all over dad's pretty cement floor. messed with the oil pan gasket, with the engine still in the truck. that was a fail. turned out the oil leak was coming from a broken bolt on the intake manifold. not having tools, i had to take the head to a machine shop to get the bolt extracted. not having time, and wanting to buy an 08 cobalt ss, i sold the truck for what i owed on it (half of what i bought it for). the same day, the cobalt got sold. it's in better hands now. the guy that bought it pulled the engine, put a new harmonic balancer and flexplate on it, fixing the timing issues and letting it rev freely to what he said was over 8k. i have a new toy now that's just as loud and spins tires just as easily, but i really miss that truck and would love to have it back.

what are some of the cars you guys have had over the years that you would love to have back?

I miss my R6 every day but it had to go at the time, the 5500 I got out of it was the difference between a nice WRX and a nice STi.

i bought it with my combat pay and drove it home and then deployed again. a 18 months later i finally saw it again drove it for 2 weeks gas hit around $6-$7 a gallon for premium and at 9mpg IF i babied it and an 18 gallon tank. wasn't worth keeping at the time. a car like that has to be driven. so i sold it for a profit of about $6k but would give both my nuts to have it back

Your exaggerating. Premium was never that much. Highest it hit in recent years was upper $4, lower $5 maybe.

As for me, I regret selling my TSI. The thing was an absolute blast to drive. AWD and enough power to do an AWD burnout are fun.

Dude! Have you ever made a post where you wern't telling someone they are wrong? Seriously, every post of yours I have read you seem to feel the need tell someone they are wrong on one fact or another. Does it really matter that much? Does it make you feel warm and fuzzy to be so much better than everyone else? I just keep thinking... If only I was as cool as this guy! Why God have you given him all the awsomeness to know it all and left the rest of us to be so flawed! WHY!?!?!?!

Anyways... the pont of the thread.

I miss my 79 mustang pacecar replica... Engin had been built before I got it and it screamed...302 with a 4 speed... most of the 4 speeds had the turbo 4cyl... But I was a Kid.... pulled the motor and trans and traded it for a dirtbike and some truck parts...

If someone is wrong, then the correct info needs posted. If you don't like that, then oh well.
