Nice work, but you're not the first. I saw someone on CGP do more or less the same thing with a plate.

it's not louder at WOT at all. it's louder during part throttle where you're boosting maybe 3-5 pounds of boost.

for the effort, and i've had them sealed on my car, i think it's a complete waste of time.

sorry for the delay, here is a before and after from inside the car

Before: 3.4 w/ supporting mods before Port and Polish - YouTube
After: 3.4 w/supporting mods after Port and Polish with silencer plate - YouTube

car ran good for 2 days then seems like a loss of power, realized it didnt like the tune i had from the intense 1.0 pcm, so i purchased hp tuners and been playing/learning with the tune, my maf sensor was way out of calibration from the new mods. I will say out of all the things i did to my car the hp tuners is by far the funnest. its amazing what changing some numbers in a few tables can do as for performance. i will post more vids after i get it tuned right.

Also had the low oil pressure idiot light in my dash on and hp tuners was reading my oil psi at -15. I just replaced the sensor 3 months ago so i figured it was still good. i have a light ticking that you can only hear at 2500 to 3500 rpm under load, figured it was a collapsed lifter that was not priming or a small exhaust leak at the cross over pipe to the rear headers. i pulled the idiot sensor out and taped a mechanical oil gauge in the port and mounted it in engine bay with new oil and filter 10w 30 syn. I was scared to start it and look at the pressure..... Cold start, idle in park it was at 60psi. THANK GOD!!!!!!!!! I still dont understand why hp tuners is reading my oil psi at -15. I purchased the mvpi standard new directly from hptuners.com for $540 shipped. does anyone on here have the standard mvpi on a 98 gtp with an oil pressure reading at -15?

No factory oil pressure sender, no oil pressure in pcm.

Like Matt says there is no sender it's just a switch. You're seeing the default reading in HPT.

That sender just tells the PCM when oil pressure goes below 15psi or so and flips the light on.

Ok thanks, is there any downside to have the oil pressure switch deleted besides the oil cel will no longer work?

    not really.

if your oil pressure drops that low, you're kinda done anyways.

Yea 15 psi and you're done. You can just plug the hole or get a oil pressure gauge and put the sending unit in that location.

I just had my ports welded shut by a shop they knows what they are doing. They are the best in the Cincinnati area, so if anyone in Cincy area wants this done they only charged 50 bucks. I thought this was reasonable since it is done with a nice pretty bead...lol. As soon as my damn motor is finished, I will post up a vid. The motor is done, just not in the booick yet..
    Fresh rebuild.....will update reeeeaaaaal soon
