Review of Ram Air Intake System from AutoMatcentral.com

This kit was very easy to install. The kit drill bit provided makes it very easy to drill a whole in the intake and it also makes a clean cut. The kit comes with two clamps but I added a third because I like the look of it better with 3 clamps. This intake has a very clean appearance and the kit comes with instructions which is helpful. I really like the look of the air filter, I think it gives sort of like a fierce look to the car. This is a very nice intake for only $69.99 Free shipping

Here is what it comes with:


First I connected the intake filter to one side of the pipe and connected the rubber coupling to the other side of the pipe to get a layout. Then I installed it on my car and marked off where I was going to drill the whole for the sensor. Then I drilled the whole which takes about 3 minutes

Next I sanded the whole to make my cut cleaner and smoother.

The drill bit included makes a perfect circle as you can see and mind you this is the first time I have ever drilled into metal.

Then all you have to do is place the rubber grommet provided in the kit inside the whole you just cut.

Then your all set. It takes about 10 to 15 minutes and it is very easy

It looks great, but how long is that filter? It looks a bit on the short side, thought my eyes may be playing tricks on me.

The intake filter is about 6" in length and 6" in diameter at its opening.

Not sure of the exact rubber grommet size used in this installation, but the intake kit comes with a few different sizes.
