Does removing the spare count as weight reduction?

I hate Turbonetics. I love Comp Turbo. My CT-6765 outflowed my Turbonetics T72 by a good margin. Comes with a billet wheel as well. Got mines for $800

I had a Turbonetics 62-1 and a Turbonetics T72. There are companies out there with better compressors, housings, wheels, etc. I would buy Comp or Borg Warner/Airwerks. If you want to go cheaper look at some of the Holsets that can be found in the junkyard. Turbonetics is just big in the rice world IMO. As far as what I have against them is that I have a $800 paperweight (T72) that got outflowed big time by my smaller Comp Turbo (6765). Plus their CHRAs cannot be rebuilt on their ball bearing products and cost just as much as a brand new turbo. Look around at everyone who is turbo. They are not running Turbonetics. Sorry Sinister this is not a shot towards you seeing as you are a vendor here. I am just stating my opinion on the product and nothing more.

no offense taken, we have sold turbonetics turbochargers for lots of different applications, very popular with LSX, Grand Nationals/T-types and diesel trucks. I dont doubt your enjoying the 67 more. The t-72 is not ment for a daily driven or non-twincharged 3800. Its to big and wont flow great at low RPMs. The H66 is far better suited for a DD and is on par with the T67.

Turbonetics turbochargers were offered with the Z7 kits for most of there production. I dont know where you get they are for ricers as they are one of the largest aftermarket suppliers for turbochargers. In fact the only complete kits Turbonetics offers right now are for the 2010 camaro SS and the 05-09 Mustang GTs.
