    Default Rear Deck Speakers

Okay i have seen alot of people ask questions about this on here but im not sure here. i have an 04 gtp with monsoon sound. the rear deck speakers are shot. Does anybody know the specs for these speakers so that when i replace them i can get the same specs? and also.. i dont want to go through the work of ripping out my amp and rewiring everything i just want my rear speakers to sound nice again. so how would i go about this? I know you would have to run the two wires straight to the tweeter and two to the woofer correct? i know very little about sound systems so could someone go into detail? like how to connect stuff and where and stuff? thanks

6x9 and 4ohm will be fine. Most everything you install is better than factory but it doesn't mean it will be a milestone in the grand scheme of upgrades

If I recall, the connector at the speaker is a four pin job...there's a separate feed to the tweeter and the 6X9 from the amp. I'm not an expert, but I don't think aftermarket speakers allow separate hookups into the tweeter and the big speaker.

I don't remember the OEM speaker being all that hateful...memory is saying each is under a C note. I'll try to remember to check Monday when I get back to work and I'll post part numbers and pricing.

They will allow a separate feed, but you have to clip the tinsel lead to the aftermarket tweeter and connect it to the high level output of the factory stereo.

03 GTP...Its got pulleys and stuff.

I hate the design of the rear speakers and they are a pain to get too! I replaced mine with alpine type-r 6 1/2 component and built a fiberglass pod for them to sit on top of the rear sill I have a aftermarket stereo and have them powered by an amp so the wiring wasn't an issue
