re wire flash to parking lights

ok so i found some diagrams that say to use a relay and diode for a 2000 GP but why cant you use the relay located in front of the BCM and DRL unit it has a white, two orange, and a yellow....just like the diagram for 1997-1999 so why do i need to splice and wire in a new relay? can't i just cut the wire and re wire that to the brown wire in the light switch? i dont understand....

Cut and rewire. No relay changes necessary. (I assume you're referring to my write-up on CGP?)

How is this mod done on a 2002? I heard the wiring was different and made this mod a little more difficult on the later models. Thanks.

you need to diode isolate the parking lights so they ar enot feed full power. they will burn up. everytime i forget to diose isolate the parking lights when i am doing a alram or remote start they fry as soon as i push a button.

i will second the idea however of some kind of diagram/pictures to help anyone who wants to do it who doesnt know much of the wiring scheme
