very nice solid equipment, I also like the trim panel with the pontiac logo on it.
I should be posting up trim panel for the trunk write up, maybe you can use that to cover that black up.

yep, that was me talking about yours. When I was looking for new ideas on my fiberglass box I am building, I searched google and the crutchfield link for your car was like 3rd down on the list. Needless to say I made myself familiar w/ it.

Oh? Well, thanks! Sad thing is, I used to threaten to upgrade this and that, but I haven't found a combo that I like better yet. Same as I once threatened to trade the car in. Not happening...

    Thanks again, very much.

I know when I had to replace one of the kickpanel sets (when a passenger unwittingly put a foot through the primary), it was a pain finding them. Not even through some of my MECA contacts. I got lucky and found a match from a dude in NY on ebay by using the exact model #. I ended up swapping out both sides just to be on the safe side. You might try that route. Good luck!

Those are the Q-logic kick panels from Crutchfield. Requires a little sawing with a hacksaw, and you may lose the use of your e-brake. Mine on the driver's side sits right below the e-brake, so you can push on it enough to engage and tech in, but I have never had to use it in an emergency. That could be a bad thing.

Wherever you order from, make sure you give them the correct color code from your VIN. I guessed on the color and got a shade too light the first time around.

no pics of mine yet as it's temporary, but I have a Panasonic head unit (hey they were in my van when I won in competition so I stuck with them) soundstream 4 channel amp feeding 2 soundstream 6.5's in front, and some Audax 6.5's in the rear. I have a bazooka amp (don't laugh it was free) running a powerbass 12 in a ported box. Sounds decent, but I will be doing some tweaking, and changing all the speakers to soundstream (hey they are paying for it why not)

My system was nothing special, but decent sounding. I chucked it when I had a problem with the amp. Pioneer head unit (DEH77?) to Soundstream 5 channel amp (better old style) to JL 10w04's mounted in the rear side panels.
Pioneer seperates up front, and 6x9's out back. I just run the speakers off the head unit now, kind of miss the subs though. I did it this way to hide everything, and keep the CG of the car more forward and low for racing. I did have a box out back with the same subs; it made much more bass, but couldn't get the car to hook at the strip.

Same here, stock Bose. I kinda like it, though I am admittedly not the audio purist that some are.
