nope.....there was asolutely NO fender gap with the camaro spring......the tire was actually tucked into the fender.

IT WS CRAZY......is the rate was 50# heaver, it woulda been a keeper. That pic is my rear coilover minus the threaded collar, and a 11"x250# rear spring that is mainly used on dirt late models

I calculated the Camaro springs to be a 2.25" drop, but forgot the were progressive, and I bet it was a 3" drop. Felt good for the 3 blocks I drove it like that, but the camber would have trashed my tires real quick lol

Hey guys, just an update.....I am going to personally buy a DNA kit and test them next week. If anyone out there has a good used kit from Eibach, Vogtland, B&G, H&R, etc and would like to donate them for about a week or two pm me. We will pick up the return shipping, just want a comparison of all the major kits out there before we make a final choice. I will post the results of all the testing with the rates, and cycle testing, etc. We will decide on what rates to go with at that point, and how much drop. We will do our best to make a kit that everyone will be happy with, but to keep costs down, we will only be making one type of kit. If we made more than one kit, the costs would go way up, since we would have to make lower qtys. And I know nobody wants to pay 250-300 for a kit is we can help it.

I want to make it happen.....it may take another month or so to get things finalized, but I talked with my GM and he is good with it. Thing is, we have to stock at least 50 kits to get the price point to where we want it, but I think we will carry them in our inventory once we make a final decision. We have never really done this, only stock private label stuff for our distributors, or other group buys when somebody purchases them, so it is taking a little research and development to make sure they will sell. We take pride in getting things right the first time, so bear with us guys, I am going to nake it happen. Oh, and Bio.....I have been thinking more about the "auto" adjustable coilover setup. I have some ideas churning through my head, but it will not be easy......we currently make a weight jacker for IRL cars that basically changes the preload on the spring at the touch of a button. I am thinking along the same lines for a coilover, but it has to be "dummied" down, because it would cost about 2k just for the parts for a street car.

So, if everyone will chime in, we will need to know a general consensus as to which rates and how much drop we are looking for. We all need to come to a consensus that will work for everybody. I personally was thinking a 1.5" drop all around with the front being 350-450 rate and the rear being 200-300 rate. This will be much more of a handling kit than a lowering kit.

I say something like an Eibach/B&G drop. I like the drop but if if wanted stiffer springs I'd have to go coilovers since the Eibachs are the stiffest, which I have. Most guys don't like a rough ride anyways so those rates are to stiff for most people.

The spring rates sounds perfect to. I'll definitely purchase a kit when they're out.

no, we can do different drops for the front/rear......but only going to make 1 type front spring, and one type rear spring. What I meant was that we would not make 1 kit for 3" drop, and another for 2" drop, and another for 1" drop.

And the rates are based more for handling, almost like a "track day" type of kit. It should eliminate the need for the stupid bump stops, since the car won't roll as much. Also, we have to remember that the Bilstein HD's won't drop as much as stock type of KYB struts, so I am kind af basing this kit around the bilsteins, which I am partial to lol. Lifetime warranty+internal bumpstops+race proven technology=win in my book.

I have a 200# in the rear on my Bilsteins, and it seems really soft.......softer than stock. Makes the car feel like a RWD drag car when I take off hard.

For the record, I'd buy springs with a drop, lol.
