Pontiac Southern Nationals 2012-June 9th-Dallas Tx (classes link added 1st post)

For those curious about the GP classes:

97-08 will have 2 sub classes:
Stock and Altered

Altered means 1-3 obvious changes to the car upon glancing at it. Open hood or not.

Here is an email I received when asking about the GP classes:

Moving to the altered class normally requires 1 - 3 significant changes. Something that would stand out such as custom paint, or aftermarket wheels. On the older cars a set of headers might apply as well. With the later model cars it is harder to see some things so that might not be considered a change due to the viewing. Something that with just a glance lets you know that the change has been made. If someone has an aftermarket sound system, but it does not effectivly change the interior look that would not count as a change.

I'm in and I will time my mods so I can enter the stock class.

LOL I will be surprised if there is someone who enters the stock class for a GP.

If they put my daily driver in competetion race class.

Ah. Can't wait for this. It's the only show I look forward to all year other than tiger prowl in Sept. Sometimes vendors will have GP goodies. I picked up a 97 Grand Prix sales brochure last year.

I'm considering it but wonder if i could race the Regal since my GTP is stock.

Yes as racing on Sunday is open to all American make and models.

I'm rolling out to the show between 7:30-7:45am on Saturday. Trying to get there somewhat early to get a good spot. I posted on clubgp to see if the Fiero guys are meeting up anywhere before hand.

How about Richardson Arapaho/75 pending if the Fiero guys aren't meeting before hand.
