| Supplies Needed: Dremel Tool 120 Grit Sand Drums Felt Polishing Wheels 120 - 2000 Grit Sand Paper Mothers Mag & Aluminum Polish |
Steps |
First. Mothers is amazing for over the counter stuff. I use it on all the cars I detail for my small business. Mothers mag and aluminum polish is what both citystarz and myself used. I then moved on to 120 grit sanding drum. Then 120 grit sand paper so i could go in more than one direction. 120,200,250,400,600,800,1000,1500,2000 (start wetsanding at 600) I also used many felt polishing wheels on a dremel, with mag and aluminum polish. My first photoshoot of the car..wow that was over a year ago now.. First I had just the ends sanded. I got bored with that. Very reflective, but still has sanding lines. After I discoved the wonders of wetsanding Still some sanding lines, but not as many. Still have not used anything higher than 600 grit. Today, except even better now that I powerballed them. Magic thing, wetsanding for 30 minutes each with 2k grit.. Remember, wetsand, mothers mag and aluminum, powerball. with those 3 things your are on your way to being a polishing master! -kyle |
