oil change

ok got this car from my bro its time to change the oil. can someone tell me what i need and will i need something different for the up coming winter

Well, if you just talking about the oil not the entire process.

IMO buy yourself a 5 quart jug of Castrol 5W-30 GTX and a AC Delco PF47 oil filter.

i prefer royal purple 5w-30, with a k&n or royal purple flter... but thats me though a guy who has no problem with spending 50 to 60 bucks to change his oil

k and n filters are nice, they have the nut on them to take them off easier, and they are a quality filter.

5 quarts of 5w-30 amsoil and either a mobil one or k&N filter for a blazer. They are a little longer and boost your capacity to 5qts instead of 4.5. The two filters internally are the same.

on the cap it says 10w-30 should i do that or 5w-30

I think the 2wd filters r the same as ares but the 4wd 1s r bigger

I use 10w 30 mobile 1

royal purple 5w30 w/an ACdelco filter

The question is, how cold will it get there during the winter? If it gets below 0 F then 5w30 would be the better choice. If not, 10w30 would be ideal.

Well, it is your car buddy. But preparing for the winter ahead go with 5W-30 100%.

i got 5w-30 mobil 1 and some filter it said on the thing at walmart

some filter? If you've got mobil 1 I'd at least buy some sort of synthetic oil filter or premium filter.

wear do i get something like that and how much that going to run me

get a mobil 1 filter.

so return the one i got from walmart and go to like auto zone and get that
