Exclamation news question about adding performance shift

hey I just got a 02 gp 40th aniversarry and am interested in adding the performance shift feature. I have read around and from what I understand if I want it on permantley I just ground out pin 21 on the stock PCM? I just dont want to do this and find out I need to buy a reprogrramed one because the stock one will not recognize it. thank u any help would be appreciated.

Well if you want to make it permanently on? All you would have to do really is just change your standard transmition tables. you wont even have to mess with the Shifter.

I like the to have the difference between stock and my specially configured performance shift. That way I can choose what I like

Yeah to change the stock tranny tables you would need a tuner. or a reprogramed pcm.
