New power tuner

Hi,

I just bought a power tuner from another member but he hasn't ever used it. I signed up on GMV6PCM and sent in a ticket. Is there anything else that i have to do in order to get access to the boards and the software? I am excited to start learning about tuning and am anxious to get started.

Do i have to register the power tuner on the site? when i sent in the ticket it asked for the firmware version ( first two digits?) and the serial number. These two numbers were kind of squished together so could someone tell me how many digits the serial number is so that i can make sure i did it right.

The now that DHP is out of business, I'm not sure how you get forum access. Back in the day when you sold a PT the original owner had to send an email telling them the serial number, their name, your name and email address so ownership could be transfered. Only way you will gert forum access, is if you have proof you own the PT.

I just bought one. The previous owner contacted the guys that still run GMV6PCM and here is what he heard back (a few days later).

just have new owner send us info..

username/password/full name/date of birth

will create them a new account.

That was about a week ago. I had trouble registering with their site, so I sent in a trouble ticket yesterday and I'm waiting to hear back.

Last I heard Steven is still doing the help desk. So he should get back to you. If not, contact jdredd on that forum for help.

I sent in a ticket. they got back to me in a week asking for the above info. sent it, got a response right back and I was set! took a while but it worked out for sure.
