Personally i run a 275/40/18 on my 8" wide Bonneville GXP wheels. I chose to run the Sumitomo HTR Z II. There is also the HTR Z AS (all Season) that is an option.
they were under 450 shipped from Tire RacK
2003 SSEi,

you dont have to call me out like that, hah.
but i agree with sandy. run the same size tire all around. a 245 will probably be your best size to choose from.
you are the tire guru, come on now

i would run 245s all around. 245/45/18.
but no difference with the 8 in front and the 7 in back?

nope, run the same size all around. that way you can rotate the tires and what not like a normal person.
If your going to run the same size all around I would at least keep with the factory size.
Only because on average the 245/45 will be 1.3% off. Your speedo would read 60mph but you will actually be going 59.2.
go to Tire size calculator plug in the stock size and you can play with the variables.
Also given the GXP has more torque, it was designed to have a wider tire up front, going smaller would be silly. Wider would be wiser as it would give you more traction, unless you want to be able to burn them off faster, then do as you please.
Again, I'd stick with stock sizes or push for the 275/40 for the fronts and a 245/45 on the back.
Also, again... your call. Price them and go from there.
1.3% is nothing. tires vary that much from the exact same size from one company to another. i wouldnt worry about that.
im just assuming they are 'driving' tires, basically to help the car move around. having the same size tire all around allows you to rotate them and doesnt make you have to buy 2 different sizes of tires. run the stock size (255?) all around, i was just putting out the number that most of us would run on 18s.
2 totally different worlds as far as performance IMO.....i got to do a test drive on the continetal dws and that is one hell of a extreme perfoamnce all season tire i have put them on many cars its awesome even has a buily in tread wear indicator.....it havs DWS in the tread and when the S goes away its no good for snow and when the W goes away its no good for wet and I hope you have replaced them wround the tim the D goes away
do u like the dws the best
