    Default new GTP owner here

    Hey yall...

I finally got myself a GTP. I have wanted one since I saw and drove my buddies back in 02... Well.

long story short. I am from northern michigan (so is my buddy). well I went into the military and my last duty station was San antonio. Met my wife, and my parents moved down here to get away from the cold.

well then my buddy went into the military, and ended up stationed here to. then got out and went back home, but decided to come back. well after two years of the heat and city life he said hes done and moving back home. (I agree with him, and cant wait to move back in the next few years).

anyway. he couldnt take his car. SO. I now own it...

LOVE THIS THING. it needs a little work here and there but is overall a pretty nice that I got for a real good price. (blower resistor went out, and one of the pullies is making some noise, brakes need to be done etc)...

anyway. here is a pic of it, but I need to get some better ones.

Joined the board to get more info on this car, and share my experiences with others who know where im coming from and could maybe point me in a right direction...

needs to be cleaned and vacuumed then I will get better pics. First line of business is to get rid of the chrome rims for some stockers. cant wait to do that.

    thanks.

my immediate plans is to get some stock rims and good tires on it (the tires are good, but I hate the rims)... I need some new headlights. my buddy bought some ebay halo projects, but they dont even fit on the car. there is like a 2" gap between corner of headlight and the fender. So looking for some stock headlights in good shape.

need to tint the windows. the sun here in texas is ridiculous... need to fix the blower motor relay. then just do some basic maint. the tranny fluid and filter needs to be done. probably could use some new plugs.

Not sure what to maint. on the SC. does that require anything special? I will do some searching.

Welcome!! first thing to do is check the S/C oil, theres asmall plug on the top of it...these things often get overlooked..you might even want to change the oil in it..theres a thread on here showing how to do that..
