My New car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I had looked at a few G8's for my new company car.

the dealerships here in town would not budge from 35ish. I was kinda ticked off. I went online and saw down toward chicago they were down to 27thou. This I liked!!!

I went online for other options to keep things open. I looked at the Acura TL, Mini Cooper, Honda Accord. I went on their forums to do research about what goes wrong, and what other problems other have incured while owning them.

I must say I was SHOCKED!!!! Mini Coopers had SOOO many problems. wiring, interior, fuel, geabox.... you name it people were having problems. I mean granted GP's have some problems....but if I am spending this much mney.. it better be reliable.

alright...scratched it off the list.

Acura TL.... I liked the styling. I read a few had gearbox problems, some had a motor fail, burn oil, pumps fail. not as many qwerks as the Mini..so it stayed as an option.

I looked at the Accord next. my main issue was styling of it. to me it looked like a Hyundai. so I scratched it off.

I went online yet again..what other car would I drive. a GTO popped into my head. of course!!! EXTEMELY low miles on new cars for under 25K.

after finding a REALLY rare GTO. Silver, red leather, 6spd. .67% were made from final production numbers... basiclly 1 of 104..... I called on it. SOLD it. DANG! so I called EVERY listing of 05-06 GTO's with under 10K miles. didint find anything within 175miles form my home..... So I tried Vehix.com. that site didnt have anything anywhere.

so I thought I would try Craigslist. 6 or 7 things popped up. mostly 04's (under powered, low fuel economy)...and only 2-3 listings above.

I REALLY wanted an Impulse blue 6spd. I love that color. didint have one. so I found the next best thing. a Cyclone Greyish Blue GTO, black Leather, 6spd... with 9K miles.

I go down Saturday and pick it up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

only flaw on it is a rock chip on the front bumper.

not bad for a company car. half the price for a new G8.....and still have a new car! with FACTORY WARRANTY.

wow, post pics when you get her...i've seen some GTO's lookin amazing on some other forums...you gonna be able to mod it at all since its a company car?

nice choice. can wait to see it. any plans for it to make it stand out from the others?

It still has the factory warranty so no motor mods. I will make it look better a bit on the exterior. It is just the driver........

I have always liked GTO's. I think they look real good.

My friend has a 06 greyish blue gto completly nasty. Spoiler-less, Cam, cutouts, intake, tune, blah blah blah. Its fast and sexy

Nice. I was looking at a GTO on the street the other day and I was thinking I should have bought one instead of the 02 Camaro SS I ended up buying. But I could not pass up on the 02 SS that only had 3K miles on it 4 years ago. The GTO is a good looking car.

Well after a few hours of dealing with title issues. I was able to drive it home today around 2pm. right past a statey going 80mph..........he just waved. and gave me a thumbs up.

My bother was in his Audi A4.... full on it on the highway, and I was in 6th and just floored it and started to real him in. We got home... he gets out of his car.... cars got good pick up. I tell him it has cop shocks, cop brakes.....is it the new blues mobile or what? LOL...inside joke.









I have had 5 people come up to me today and compiment me on the car! I must say I feel like a million bucks! I am in love! I am actually debating about selling the 2001.....

Your GTO looks exactly like my friends except he has rims and those gpo grill inserts. I orgasm'd when i heard his gto at red-line with his cutouts and cam (I was outside) . One reason why I like my gp so much is because it resembles the gto. Definitely a good choice of a car and bad*** color.

People are probably going to wonder wtf does "stok gp" on a gto mean? lol I'd keep the plates!!!
