My interesting day....

So today driving back home from school I had this person in their Grand Caravan tailgating me cause they are PO'ed at me for only driving 25 in a 25 zone (in town driving). So anyways, driving along and I see this kid, maybe 6 or so, playing basketball in his driveway while mom is sitting on the porch.
To cut to the chase a bit the ball ended up rolling out in the road and what does the kid do? Why, goes and chases after it of course. I saw the ball and kid and slammed on the brakes to avoid hitting one or both of them. Person in the Caravan didn't like it much cause they laid on the horn and probably gave me the bird too. Mom came running out to get her kid and gave me some kind of a thank you wave sorta thing while I was stopped on the road.
Anyways, kid and mom leave the scene and as I'm taking off again the jerk in his Caravan has to pass me for driving too slow.

There is this one sign I pass everyday that says, "Drive 25. We Our Children."

I have a whole new respect for that sign after today.

That mother should have been watching her kid better an not let it run into the street in the first place.
