    Default My 2005 Black GTP

Just now getting around to posting this up, sorry for the delay! Sadly it's not a CompG, but I still like it, and so does the wife

I've had it for about half a year now, it just ticked over 100K miles. Below is a pic of it not long after we got it after washing and waxing it.

2005 GTP - AL 605's gapped at .055", SD headers, WAI with 9" cone air filter, 180 degree t-stat, green coolant, otherwise stock.

Well I know the wheels on there weren't a factory option, I was just wondering which kind they are lol.

The PO said they came from some type of SUV, but they look like they were meant for this car, I like them

That thing looks REALLY spotless for a black car...and I've cleaned my fair share of darker colored cars.

I'd say a small drop on SSC's, Vogtland's, or Springtech's would really set that car off.

Thanks guys, it's got a scratch here or there, but overall it's in pretty good shape. We spent a few hours cleaning it really well when we took those pictures.

I don't think we'll be lowering because the SD downpipe hangs low and I've scraped it a couple times already. Some of the roads around here suck pretty bad, so I'd have it dented pretty good or even a hole through it before I'd know it.

    They're still relatively spendy. And they're 17s.

I'd like to get them too, but only if GXP brakes would fit under them.

I don't think bigger brakes are going to be an issue. That's on the list of to-do things for the car this summer. The brakes on the car are just too mushy right now for my tastes.

Here are some pictures we took today after washing the grand prix. We also installed the reflective red lettering the day before.

The front ones were a b!tch to put on. I recommend doing this when it's colder out to keep the stickers from wanting to stretch some.

I shined up the exhaust tips this weekend, I'll take more pics the next time we wash the car (this weekend, weather permitting). I didn't sand them and polish to a mirror finish because the stock exhaust tips have so much viewable area to them and if they were really shiny it would really be too much IMO.
