How durable is the rotor coating compared to the factory coating?

I would say equivalent if not better. The problem with the factory coating is they did not prep the machined surface well so it flakes off easily. I blast the rotors prior to coating to ensure a good bond.

This guy does nice work ,he coated a set of rotors for me and they work great,but as far as filling the silencer slots I would not recommend it I have seen the fillings come loose and they were actually digested by the motor I was lucky and there was no real damage but the potential for damage is there ,so do this at your own risk I would also suggest vendors shy away from filling these slots the small gain in volume is certainly risky!

Yea i actually no longer fill them in for customers blowers but i have had mine done for 15k and they are still there. Its just a gamble i guess.
