    Default Lowering spring clearance question

For the longest time my suspension has needed to be changed now i have finally decided to go with it, and in the process do some lowering too. This is my first time lowering a car so I just want to check with you guys before i buy to see if im going to rub or not. I dont think i will but i want to be sure. My wheel dimensions are 225/55/17. I am probably going to go with a basic strut, like the KYB GR2's and throw on some lowering springs. I would like to get springs to lower me from 1-2 inches if possible. Would that work? Thanks guys

As long as your offset isn't really low, you'll be fine. GR-2's may not last long with a bigger drop.

Yea thats kind of what i heard. Any other kind of struts you would recommend? I dont want anything super expensive.

    GR2s will be fine.

with those wheel specs it sounds like youre safe since most wheels for FWD cars are higher offset, especially at that width.

In canada, all struts are expensive.
