    Default Knock sensors...

I bought a motor from advance auto parts about 2 weeks ago.Motor has a slight ticking/knock/ping.I could not get the old knock sensors out of old motor so i proceeded to install new motor until i could afford 2 brand new knock sensors.Could motor be pinging because of not having either knock sensors hooked up?Car is not a daily driver.anyone have similar problems/experience with knock sensors on a 3800 series II .CAR IS A CHEVY MONTE CARLO SS

You need knock sensors or you are going to have goofy programming running the car. I've never tried it out, but you'll either get a butt ton of timing or none I would assume.

If Dave feels 60% throttle is 100%, what does he tell his wife.

Make sure you torque them to the right specs.

And I dont think you can get at the rear knock sensor with the motor in the car, but I'm not 100% on that.
