Steps | |
1. Crimp one male and one female terminal on each of the seven lengths of wire: 2. Insert the male and female terminals into the connectors 3. Insert the male and female terminal locks into the connector bodies. 4. Use electrical tape or wire loom to protect the harness wires. The completed connectors: Installation 1. Remove dash trim 2. Remove cubby from left side of dash 3. Pull out and disconnect HUD switch4. Remove HUD switch body from face plate: 5. In order for the HUD switch to fit the left side of the dash, the locating nubs/tabs must be removed, leaving one clip in the center of each side: 6. Reassemble HUD switch 7. Connect male end of HUD relocation harness to female plug from factory harness. 8. Route HUD relocation harness to the left side of the dash, either below steering column, or above. DO NOT route the wire where any rotation of the column occurs. (Good spot is above the column, but below the instrument cluster.) 9. Connect the male end of HUD relocation harness into HUD switch, position switch in opening. Put cubby in right side of dash, replace dash trim. 10. Turn key on and test operation of HUD. | |
