I would like to exchange my broken HUD with one I bought privately, problem is.... I do not want to break any of the fasteners on the plastix ... any ID's where to start?

Might help if you told us what year you have.
97-03 there's really no worry. I like to start at the passenger side.
04+... there's no good way I can tell not to break the piece. It's very brittle and thin

Oh, sorry, it's a 1998 gtp ... just bought it and trying to get it on the road, only have the Hud and rack to work on.
then you are in luck. Worst that typically happens in your year is the metal tabs pull off the panel. I use needle nose pliers to pull them out of the dash and put them back on.
