How do you program a Viper 479V remote?

I've been searching high and low on google and cannot come up with any definite answers.
It's for a 791VX Alarm/Remote start.

I just need to figure out how to program the new remote (came with no instructions).

And how did that turn out for you? Interesting thing is your results came up with way less, but about as good as the results my google searchs came up with for 2 days before I posted here.

it had a link in there for the actual model alarm u have for programming.

"Open a Door,
Turn your key to ON,
within 5 seconds of turning your key to the ON spot,
press and release the program button 1 time,
(only 1 time if you have a remote starter)
press the program button and HOLD IT and the L.E.D will flash one time and then you will hear a chirp,
DO NOT LET GO OF THE PROGRAM BUTTON YET,
Press a unlock button to assign a channel,
a chirp will sound to confirm,

After chirp you can release the program button and turn the key to off."
