uh? You need a tuning program and tuning hardware.... and a computer preferably a laptop.

Ive run into problems were it hasn't let me read the stock file or adjust it or anything. I believe it's an osid issue and you just need to do a full write with one that is support. Darkhorizon has all the supported osids and files on clubgp in the top if the tune section, take a look there and see if your osid is supported.
It lets me read it just can't make adjustments. Maybe I dont have the latest version?

Pwertuner.com is the site. There's no "o" in power.

Tuning section. The list of supported OSID's are there, along with all the OS ID's I've ever found by car and year. It's about the most organized list I've ever seen. If you have more to add, please send them along.

It's all part of their security algorithm. Their software looks for a valid O/S ID that corresponds with the year, make and model that you purchased coverage for. If the O/S ID is invalid for your application, or the VIN isn't valid for your application, or if the checksum flag is disabled, the HP Tuners program will not allow you to write to that PCM.

That's cool Brian...cept he has DHP.
Dan.. OS ID is Operating Software ID. Meaning the version of the software. When DHP's guy (Charles) would get a request for say a 2001 Grand Prix GTP to be tuned, he found the newest version of the software that would be on the pcm and then opened that up in his program. If you try to use any other versions..they don't work. Therefore there is a compiled list of which versions work and which don't.

It's powrtuner.com with no E, but all you need is a valid bin file for that car and do a full write. You are reading a file that isn't mapped out in DHP, that's why you can't make changes, when you do a full write to a bin file that is mapped out in DHP, you can make changes.
