So me and my buddy Scott cut my stock hood up, talk about stressful. But well worth it in the end! This was actually a PITA because i should have had someone who already had a hood with holes cut measure the holes rather than just the position of the extractors after they're already on the hood. But it (the measurements) helped a lot, nonetheless. So, what we had to do was line up the extractors on the hood as they would have been if they were already installed. Then, while in position, we traced around the hole(s) in the extractor(s) onto the green tape that we had laid down beforehand in the general area where we believed the extractors would reside, we guesstimated correctly, thank god. Afterward Scott took a ruler around the perimeter of the traced holes and measured about 1/4" out from where the initial hole markings were, to compensate for the grilles and thickness of the plastic around the vents, and in doing so ultimately traced a slightly larger hole for the extractors to sit in(^see first pic). For the pegs that stick out of the extractors, while we had the extractors temporarily in place with tape, we slightly lifted each outside edge of the extractors to determine where the pegs were contacting the hood, and marked those 4 positions (2 for each extractor). At this point there should be "cut holes" traced that correspond to the vent(s) in the extractor(s) and dots or whatever marked for where to drill holes for the pegs. In the pics above the dremel tool was used on the angles of the trapezoidal holes, because it will look like sh*t if you try to just "curve your cut." There is 3M double sided tape on the underside of the extractors(the side that will come in contact with the hood) and i would strongly reccomend using silicon, or paint, or something to cover the bare metal that will be exposed after cutting the hood. Rust will show it's ugly head if you dont. Hope this helps...!
