Well I don't know about alot of you
But my head lights look like Crap big time..
Yellow, pitted, Dull light.
So the other day a bought a set of lights from Jon.
A Club Member on OQCGP...
Same condition as above and wanted to test them out making them look new again with out risking messing mine up...
I've read a few articles on cleaning them but never heard what there secret polish is... Turtle wax -- Thats right.
Now when your squezzing the turtle to get the wax out be care full of the head..
Ok ok sorry just sounded good though.
First step 600 grit wet sand paper and apply water as doing the light spend about 5 min going over light back and forth lightly.
wipe off light----> Dull looking right. Good what you need.
Second step 800 grit.. follow same steps as above make sure there is plenty of water, a spray bottle is good for this spray and sand at the same time...
Next step 1500 grit is same as the above but now your almost done.... After all this sanding wipe the light dry and apply some Turtle wax with your finger and rub it into the light real well ... once the light is covered set your drill to low speed and with a buffing wheel go over the whole light area for a few min you will see the new look coming through... nice huh...
You might have to do this a few times but the end results are well worth it....
once this is all done use some lquid polish on it... Nice huh looks like new...
Now use your Polishing wheel and buff them up-----Sweet huh Now depending on the condition of your lights they may have some defects but this is not my fault so i take no responablity for this...
but they will come out alot better then they were. NOTE: you need to do this slow and need a slow speed drill
as these are platic and will scratch.. Take your time and go slow.
The end results will show for them selves... Good luck and have fun
