Default Headed to Track Day the 23rd. Advice needed.

Shooting for low 14's this time around with the fresh trans rebuilt and stall upped to 2500.

Ran a 15.2 last time essentially stock with just a 3 inch DP, and short ram intake.

Since then I've added a 3.4 pulley, AL104's, the trans rebuild with shift kit and stall, Intense PCM.

What would be a reallistic time to expect and what else can I do such as weight removal. Thanks for the input.

I won't claim I'm the best but I'm not the worst either. Biggest problem I'm foreseeing is that I'm fat. I'm 300lbs so I need to shed a little weight on the car if possible since I don't see me dropping it by Friday.

With my old setup before headers, so almost exactly like yours I ran a 13.91@98.98 with a 2.07 60' time. that was after a lot of practice runs.

That's awesome. How'd you go about launching. Thats really the only thing I'm worried about. The track I'm going to has decent prep but I'll be on street tires. I pulled consistant 2.2's last fall so I'm hoping it'll improve a bit.

Stall it up a bit and when you launch your going to want to ease into it off the line to avoid losing traction completely. I don't really know how to say it much better, learn how your car handles and just try and learn after every run.

cool. I know last time I tried stalling it the car lost around 3 tenths but that was probably due to trans slip and heat soaking from back to back runs. But I'll have all day to run this time so heat soaking shouldn't be a problem.

You will deffinitly notice it now that your trans is fixed up, I know it started to get hot and I ended up putting a bag of ice on the s/c to cool it off a bit before my run

Well I'm back from the track. My first run was my best here's all the figures on it.

    60'..... 2.065
    330'....5.886
    1/8.....9.192
    MPH....75.27
    1000'..11.998
    1/4.....14.343
    mph...95.74

    As for KR. 0

There was just a hair of KR at the very end of my run. Think the guy that logged it said around 1. He was just as surprised as I was. Timing was at 14 to 15 degrees. The car's commanding pretty rich. From 11.4 to 10.9 or so.

Overall I couldn't be happier with how it ran.

Not sure. Don't have the slips with me but it's the middle of Ohio so it's not that high.

That thing needs more timing and a better tune then. You should have trapped around 97-99 mph.
