Hard shifts

Okay in the 2002 gt i just got it shifts sloppy when its cold but after driving for 10 minutes it starts shifting really hard into every gear. Possibly just a fluid and filter change or could it be more than that?

My TCC went out about 80k, it would be soft as all getout, then by a few miles down the road it would chirp second at part throttle... Not a hard install either. Drove me nuts for a week or so until I figured it out.

Harsh shifts are going to be the P1811 code. Max Adapt shift. This means it bumps pressure to max.

Get the car scanned and see what other codes are present. If need be, get the car to do it, then w/o turning it off...have it scanned. Some of the codes reset with ignition.

i have a scanner and there are not any codes thrown

i had one tht did tht it would shift hard every gear but if u shut the car off then start it and drive it would be fine. wht color is the fuild has it ever been changed?

What scanner do you have? Some scanners don't pic up a non MIL code.
