    Exclamation Getting that burning smell

Hey guys I haven't had any dash lights in 10 months now. They came on tonight sitting in the driveway and I could smell a strong burning smell. I shut the car off then turned it back on and the lights would dim and flicker. After a minute or two they went out and haven't been back on since.

Also my windows and sunroof roll up and down slowly, and was wondering if they could be related?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

The headlight switch has a resistor in it for dimming the headlights, if it goes bad, I could see where it could get hot and cause too much resistance to power the dash, and cause a smell (not good).
As for the windows, how slow is slow.

This is the first time I've had the smell or dash lights in 10 months or so. I noticed the dimmer switch was working last night, but it still didn't seem right, was still quite bright even on the lowest setting.

As for the windows, it varies at times, but usually it's very slow, a good 6-7 seconds I'd say to roll all the way up. Definitely slower than it seems it should be.
