Another step closer to getting these rims painted



took them to the shop and unmounted them today, now have to buy the paint and start cleaning them up and get them prepped and ready to be sprayed

Must be nice to have a body shop at your leisure. I need to mask off and shoot my rims too. I saw them like this on a monte. I already have the black pontiac center so it should look good. What you think Ed.

i think they will look good on your car are they 16's? and ill be doing a write up when i paint my rims it might help you out a little and masking them out shouldn't be to hard.

There was a GP SE around here with those wheels TexasTanker. I think they will look good. They looked good on the SE but I think it died soon after and was a rust bucket.

Yeah Eddie they are 16". I will probably shoot them this summer during my 2 week leave.

nice! too bad your not closer id love to help you with them. keep me updated and i know they will look awesome on your car! I wish mine were 17's but i think either way they'll look alright besides whats an inch anyway lol

So i re did my exhaust today at work 2 1/2 zzp catless down pipe, thrush glasspack as resonator and i refurbished a set of stock mufflers what yous think?

thanks! it sounds pretty good but just the smallest bit of rasp but not to bad at all, im happy with it and it sounds way better then my old exhaust both my resonator and mufflers both had holes in them lol, and this exhaust sound really good at idle.

So i brought the wheels to the shop today and started cleaning them up they were hard to get perfect but there clean enough

Im thinking about putting a thin black stripe around my white rims when i paint them heres a test example on the silver wheel what yous think?

Are you gonna paint the black stripe? Or just use Vinyl or something? If you go that route you can always take it off if you dont like it. I think it would look pretty good with a little bit of contrast.

if i do the stripe im going to paint it i just want it to be different then the plain white rim just because i can lol, plus my car is like a white and black theme going. also i dont think the stripe will be too noticeable unless you look close and i like the little details you don't usually see unless you look close

I'm going with the all white.
