I'll start out by giving thanks and recognition to someone that has helped me out tremendously, webracin aka Chris.

Last year, around June, my transmission started making the noises that it was on its way out. Because of the symptoms at the time, I was not convinced it was the transmission and coupled with a vibration I had, I decided to replace the axles. However, I had never done this before and was a little lost on how to get the work done.

Chris chatted with me on line most of the day helping me find the parts and supplies I would need to get the work done. Then took it upon himself to drive to my house from Arkansas to help me replace the axles. Thats around a 2 - 3 hour drive one way just to help a fellow GP owner replace axles.

A couple months later, in August we had a club meet out at his place. My oil analysis had been showing a coolant leak so I needed to replace my LIM gaskets. I spoke to Chris and he agreed to help to get that done during the meet. So I drove out to his place to get all that done.

Me and Chris hit it off at that time because him and I have a great deal in common when it comes to attention to detail and a perfectionist mentality. We ran into some complications and things ended up taking longer than planned. It ended up taking us all that weekend to get things done. Chris invited me into his home, fed me, gave me a place to stay and never once showed anything other than pure hospitality and a willingness to help and see everything through until it was done right.

He ran me all over the place picking up stuff we needed and in the end when we got it all done, the car started up like a champ and everything was working perfectly. We replaced the LIM gaskets, fuel injector o-rings, put on a MPS on the blower, and even had to replace one of the axles because the boot got damaged (unknown to us when the work was done) and was slinging grease.

If you dont know Chris, take the time to do so. Most are unaware just how much he does for this community and the lengths he goes through to help people out.

i havent personally have the privledge of working with him on anything, but i will that i thank him for bringing this forum to us, and sharing the knowledge he has (that i have read in other posts) also, thanks for running the site the way its ran (i havent been here long, but it is a huge step up from other forums i have been on!!!!)

Hes the man.

He was one of the many, and one of the most knowledgeable people helping me trying to figure out my wiring problem with my car weeks before the Branson Meet last year. I almost just said "eff it" and hitched a ride and went with no car. But he stayed on me, and on topic helping me by giving me things to test, or look at every day till we eventually found it.

Problem was fixed for good, and still is to this day, and was able to drive to and attend the BGPM '07 worry free with my car and wound up winning 1st place in the show, and Best of Show as well. He was one of the many people who I thanked when I got my award that year. I think I still owe him a few beers or a steak dinner for all his help.

Glad to have him around myself, hes truly an asset to the community.

My biggest thanks to Chris goes for BGPM. This is one of my all-time favorite events and the most "community" event I've been to. I had a great time, made new friends, and will try my best to make it every year. Thanks and I'll see you in Sept.

Well thank you all for your support and acknowledgment. I try and live by a very simple rule, and that is if you help those in need, you will get it back ten fold when your in need.

That is truly what makes or breaks a community. If we get a bunch of guys and gals that help each other out then we have no where to go but up, but throw in a few that spin a bunch of hate and discontent and in no time you will have a ghost town.

Thank you all for helping the community and keeping this site informative and friendly. You guys and gals are the class act for sure.
