wiper/turn signal switch

Default wiper/turn signal switch
Does anyone know how often these go bad, I think the wiper delay, on/off feature on mine is bad, and the dealership qouted me at 400 big ones for a new one. Can anyone shed some light on the matter. thanks

they do go bad, it's the whole switch inside the column that's why it's so expensive (bit time consuming)

it's actaully not too dificult to do it urself....i did it my old lumina all i needed was a wheel puller that i renten from the auto parts store and it was pretty easy to fix
