Default sensors?????

i was messing around with the car today when i noticed a sensor in my front bumber. it was ran into a plastic peice of the front bumper in front of the radiator. not going to anything just kinda attached to the bumper. the plastic peice looked kinda like an air damn in the front bumper. not the one at the bottom but just under the grill. (i was taking it out to allow more air flow in the front) but i then came across a sensor or something running into it. again not atached but like cliped in kinda like to make sure its not going anywhere. dont know if this is an 04 plus thing or not.

what the hell does it go to???

i was thinking maybe it was the crash/airbag sensor. if it detects a hard enought hit it sets the aribags off but i dont know.

and if thats what it is those damn things SUCK!! i fliped an 06 gp 3 times and no airbags. no like it would have helped tho, my face meet the outside ground threw the back driver window while i was still straped in :/

Possibly the outside air temperature sensor. Is it cylindrical and comes to kind of a point on one end?

Sounds like what it is to me. I just stuck mine into one of the holes on the core support.

yea it kinda is a cylender and comes to a point. but i also saw the little sylenoid thing for the air bag on the bumer support and the wires ran off into a group of wires and then some of those split off to this device. so idk.

either way i just did what street said and stuck it in the bumper. hope no harm will be done.

Many different components are routed through the same portion of the wire harness. Doesn't mean they have anything to do with each other.
