Me and a buddy was talking about this and I became curious, is there a sound difference with pulley sizes?

smaller = spinning faster = louder whine

yes! the faster the supercharger spins, the louder and sooner you hear the whine.

If you've heard someone with a 3.0 or smaller pulley you can hear them screaming from a long way off at WOT

So would you be able to hear a big diff from stock --> 3.5? Because it already sounds sexy!

I would think so as that is a pretty good drop.

I would think you would need some more mods before you drop a pulley size. And I would recommend to go conservative and go with a 3.4 first. Then tune it. If you don't have any knock, consider dropping to a 3.2. But going right from stock to a 3.2 pulley is just asking for trouble.
